After buying Game of Thrones yesterday it easily goes to top 3 current shows. Never seen a show where I hated more characters halfway into the first season. If you haven't seen it do yourself a favor.
Also like to add honorable mention Party Down. Only ran 2 seasons but that show is simply hilarious. HBO, Starz and Showtime can't be touched when it comes to TV series.
