If you ask me, it was nowhere near early enough. I have been wanting him gone for as long as I can remember.
Throwing a fit and talking about "no laws, no civilization, and how it is turning into survival of the fittest" as if he had forgotten what was going on around him.

Its become pretty clear that the writers/producers/AMC want them to stay on the farm as long as possible to drag out the show (more $). It is probably much more expensive to film the cast on the road/cities than on a farm. I bet this whole season has cost about as much as some single episodes in the 1st season.
I've got a lot of problems with the show and think there are a million more entertaining directions they could take them in that crazy world than a f'n farm, but I'm going to wait and see what happens the rest of this season before bailing on the show.

Watched the episode last night. I thought it was hilarious that the zombie Carl failed to kill killed Dale. Thankfully Dale is gone so we don't have to listen to him judge everyone to death. Hopeful that this show will actually pick up finally.

Supposedly everyone is infected and unless you die of a head trauma, you become a zombie. There is speculation that is what Dr. Jenner told Rick at the CDC when he whispered in his ear. And if you remember when they were in the bar and Rick killed those two guys, he shot the big guy in the chest and then in the head. Now if he knows this - I wonder why he hasn't told the rest of the group. I guess to keep everyone from freaking out.

That all sounds plausible, but then why did he not shoot Shane in the head?

Rick gave Shane his gun. It looked like he was sitting on top of Shane waiting for him to become a zombie so he could stab him in the head with his knife and then Carl showed up. Plus he seemed to be reeling from what transpired.
