Side note: this thread turned out a little better this weekend, eh? Got to 4 pages this time, and we've still got another 7 hours.
We need to get some more people involved in the weekend thread, and not just the same four people ripping on Corey for his intense love of wine coolers.

HDNET is running an all day live music marathon. Stevie Nicks, Bon Jovi, Tom Petty, The Stones, Nickelback and so on. Didn't like the Petty version since it was live at Gatorville.

I once got too drunk at the Empire Hotel while attending a Knicks City Dancers private event. The event ended and I headed down the street to Hell's Kitchen where I ended up in a bar arguing with 2 girls and 2 guys that Boogie Nights wasn't the greatest movie of all time. I continued to argue with them because the girls were hot and it was a friendly argument. Fer real? Now that's pretty cool Jay. I believe that may have been the first time I saw Philip Seymour Hoffman, whom I consider to be one of the finest all around actors of his generation. As you are a sometimes gambler and like me - like that kind of stuff. Check out the movie "Hard Eight" some time if you haven't already. It's a very decent flic with an excellent ensemble cast.

Hey Jay. Empire Hotel huh. Back in the 90's, when I was up in NYC 5-6 times a year on business, I once had a hard time finding a room. Got booked there and ended up using that place for most of my stays from there on out. What's the name of that tiny jazz club just next door down stairs? Great little place with some super duper jazz riffs boyo.
For you Bill Murray fans, the Empire is the hotel in the background, when he meets Sigourney Weaver outside the Met in Ghostbusters, and disses that sissy violin player. He does that spin mimicing that ballerina skater, and you can see the hotel in the background.
