Prayer request

My mother in law has been in the ICU since Saturday. Today she'll be sedated put on a ventilator and a chest tube so they can biopsy her lung. Dr's said for minimum of a week. They can't figure out what's going on. My wife's an only child, and Nana is very close with my daughter... So I'm obviously concerned. If you pray, how about sending one up on her behalf.

Was the surgery successful? I hope she pulls through. How are you positioning this situation for your daughter? I assume she's still quite young. If you would like an empathetic sounding board, please PM me. I've been through this thrice now with little ones, and perhaps can offer a bit of perspective.

Surgery went well. She'll be sedated and on a ventilator for 2-3 days. Samples will be sent to Scottsdale Arizona for testing. Just in a holding pattern basically. Nash, my little ones 7. She knows very little, we let her see Nana before the surgery...
She's tough. My parents are helping out greatly. Getting her homework done, feeding her, etc... I'm burning fuel back and forth, trying to be a good husband by day, good daddy by evening. Lol. Thanks again to everyone. +1 to all!

"Nana is very sick. All of these wonderful doctors and nurses are working very hard to help her get better. Jesus is listening, and will help her too. Nana is really glad you're here to help her."
Gongi was our main elder who we all supported through her heart procedure. We had two tykes to bring through it along with ourselves. They needed constant reassurance that she would get well and be able to bake choco-nut cookies again.
I know first hand you have a lot to balance. Good on ya. Stay strong, you are being looked to for that strength.
