What is everyone up to? It's so quiet around here. I've been very busy with work, and the last couple of days have gotten caught up in my fight with Blue Cross Blue Shield, but I'm just about always lurking....
I'm sure you'll all be excited to know that I have an ultrasound on Thursday morning. Ha.

Hi Laura.
Taking a short week dive trip, so when I get put on the list fer a brand new filter and have to stay with in a hour of the hospital,I'll have something to look back on. Black and Blue cross and holes Shield huh? Having my own fist fights with them. Dr calls for a procedure on my carcass,. BCBS rejects it to make my DR call THEIR Dr for a consult. They will only do a Dr to Dr consult AFTER they reject on the first go 'round. Meanwhile, my insides are ripening just fine thank you very much. I promise to hold them still so's you can torture them and make them pay up and tell the truth!

I wlll 100% take you up on that Nash. I want to use a midwife who will charge $5000 but they are forcing me to stick with OB/Hospital, which will cost $12,000+. All because Alabama's antiquated laws require midwives to have a nursing degree, while here in Florida they can be licensed. They will tell me nothing other than that such coverage is not provided by my policy, which I know. Duh. For 3 months I have been asking them to approve coverage outside of my policy because (a) it is cheaper and (b) it is required by Florida law. But they won't say no, so I cannot "appeal" so to speak. I cannot enough.

I'm having probs with Blue Cross Blue Shield too. They are refusing to cover the $600 + cost of a procedure related to the surgery I had to remove my appendix back in September.

I just took a sales position with an emerging biotech company...nervous, but excited for pharm rep type schedule and some freaking stability.

"Tore in" is right. My territory is from PCola to Jax. Needless to say, there is work to do..
Hipefully it'll play off when I can get on with Smith Nephew or J&J in Nashville or Tampa making $150k a year.
A boy can dream, at least.

As one long time - fairly successful salesman to another, if you hang the numbers on the board, the rest will come. DON'T worry about counting the money, make the calls, cold call and then make some more.
