Yea, but the Twins never had a team as stacked as this years Tigers going against them. The '08 Tigers had a nice lineup but the pitching staff doesnt compare to the staff they have now, with MVP, Fister (sub 3 era last year), Scherzer and Porcello with Valverde not blowing a save all last year closing it down. Benoit is a solid set up man as well. Plus Prince-Miggy in the middle of the order is an insane middle of the lineup.

The Tigers were 32 games up on the Twins last year. The Tigers only had Fister post trade deadline and Delmon after that. Add in Prince and Dotel to the pen, it more than makes up for Victor absence (who missed some time last year too).

Kubel and Cuddyer were a big part of that Twins team and both are gone now. The Twins are more likely to finish 4th or 5th in the Central than first if you ask me. As a Tiger fan, I am more worried about the Royals and Indians (although I expect to win the division by double digits)

The central is unpredictable every year, no matter who has the most talent. It's been that way for over the past decade. Not saying the Tigers don't have more talent than the Twins, they undoubtedly do, I'm just saying that the Twins always seem to pull a rabbit out of their hat at the craziest of times. If the team doesn't gel, talent doesn't matter (Last years Red Sox). I would not be surprised one bit if the Tigers won the central, or even the world series, but I'm just going with my gut here.

lol at Rays winning the AL East and the strongest division being the NL East.

The AL East is the strongest it has been in years - the fact that the Blue Jays (one of the best offensive teams in baseball, pitching is another story) could make the playoffs in another division but they're going to come in fourth in their own should speak volumes. I think the NL East is second here, but without a doubt the AL East is the strongest division IMO. It'll be a toss up between the Yankees and Red Sox for the division though, the Rays could sneak their way in though if someone seriously chokes again. New York and Boston are just loaded though.

A quarter through the season, our MASH unit of a team is floating first place w/ Baltimore.

    The Yankees Suck.

The Red Sox don't care, and they hate their manager.

Also, the Braves (as predicted) are killing it in the NLE.

I have you guys right where I want you in fantasy...lulling everyone to sleep before I come storming back.
