I've had a MacBook Pro for about a year and a half and it is awesome. I don't use it for anything special or gaming or anything like that. Runs just as fast as the day I bought it and the battery life is awesome. Also the start up and shut down time is about 10x faster than any PC I have ever used. Runs faster than any PC I have ever had either.
I dont' use these often but also comes with an awesome photo editor, movie editor and if you are into it a music editing program. Also built in web cam. The mouse pad takes a little while to get used to but I have no idea how I lived without it. Just by swiping your fingers you can go back or forward on a web page, pull up different programs you have running and scroll down a page. Sounds kind of like a small perk but its so much better than clicking and dragging like on a PC.
Also the no virus thing is awesome as well. My aunts email account got hacked and they sent out some email that had a virus attached to it. Nearly everyone that got the email had to spend a couple hundred bucks getting it wiped off their PCs. I opened it up and something popped up saying I was downloading some virus. Two seconds later it just stops and the virus never gets on my computer. Obviously save some money yearly by not having to get McAfee or anything like that.
Apple is also always sending out free updates all the time so it about as up to date as whats out there as it can be. Obviously doesn't have all the new features of the new Retina one but it does its job.
Would highly recommend a Mac as they have converted me and I will never go back to a PC.
