Here's the deal:
All other things being equal, personality/sense of humor, agressiveness, "chill"ness, fun to be around etc....all of that is equal, either equally bad or equally good.
Would you rather hang out with....
A Nole fan that has the exact opposite political beliefs from you
A gator fan that has the very same political beliefs as you

Gator fan with same political beliefs... I'm much more likely to get along with someone who has the same basic ideas regarding key issues... The fan thing I can get past ... Plus my dads a gator and he's alright to hang around....

Sports is the great equalizer in conversations, and sensibilities. Plus, I like to argue politics from time to time, and where would be the fun in trying to with someone that looks at things exactly like I do?

Gator. Like minded people seem to get along better. College alumni status will come and go, it is usually the personality and the values that make me like or not like someone.

I rarely talk politics so it would not matter. As long as the Gator fan is not of the obnoxious variety I would have no problem with him/her either.

I put the question up cuz I'm torn.
I do care about politics but its not the first thing out of my mouth.
I greatly enjoy the company of fellow Noles...even the ones with opposing beliefs to mine and being able to hang out with Noles is something you can take for granted if you live in or near FL. Out here (TX) they are few and far between and we're all strangers.
