Jumping on the Turbo Dog train...if you like Turbo Dog try the Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale from England. Think a wayyyyyy better Newcastle. Nice and malty...I taste a lot of hazelnut if you like that.
Last night...some Troegs Nugget Nectar (very hoppy, floral type good early spring type ale), Long Trail Double Bag (VT brewery...I think this is an altbier...German brown ale...caramel), and an OE High Gravity to contradict the craft beers.
Maybe I'm 23 and retarded but I find the high gravity 24 ozs of 40s (that sounded weird) to be a great buy for like $2 and basically as tasty as macros when still very cold. You also don't have to flat out drink the thing as fast as humanly possible like with 40s before they get warm.

Going to be up in Orlando this weekend at Bay Hill. Anyone know of any places I should hit up while I'm there (breweries if any, etc.)?
Definitely going to swing by Knightly Spirits for sure.
Redlight redlight is consistently ranked one of the best pubs in the country. Go early evening before it gets crazy crowded. Also, the orlando brewing co does some decent beers and they are organic. Shipyard emporium has excellent food and the head brewer always has a small batch beer on tap.
Do those places have growlers? Just curious as I have some friends that collect them.
I think orlando brewing does, but not the others.
Cool. Orlando Brewing is the closest one to where we're staying anyways. Definitely going to try to get to the others.
At least it's not gluten free (shudders).
i miss being close to redlight redlight and having knightly spirits a 45 minute drive but i'll take it that CCB is 38 minutes from me.
Let me know what you think of K.S. they have more Belgians and Euros than single micro's. A good selection of bombers but sometimes hard to buy a beer for $8-$12

Where did you end up at equa? Oh, and you still owe noleverine and I for ditching us last weekend.
Didn't come up since they tanked it at Bay Hill. Drank here this weekend. Sneaky Pete IPA and Hoppy Feet 1.5 are excellent.
Taking the Cigar City tour tomorrow.
Oh I have been looking for an excuse to make it up to Tampa and take that tour. Let us know how it goes. Favorite brewery, hands down.
Alright just finished the cigar city tour.
First thing is, it is so reasonable. 5.35 and you get a free beer and a pint glass.
Second you would be amazed at how small the facility is. Probably 3000 square feet. Truely amazing to here the output and see the facility while keeping qualIty control.
Ya I, I can't wait until the complete their expansion and start canning their beers. It is so difficult to find anything other than maduro and jai alai. Did you spend time at the bar there? If so what did you try?
I tried tocobaga, Adams cherry stout, humidor, and maezen.
What I brought home;
1 quart of hotter than hells for the wife
1 quart of Maduro
1 quart Florida cracker for the wife
1 gallon of Jai alai
How great is tocobaga, one of my absolute favorites. Not sure if you have had their Jose Marti or not but I think it is one of the best beers in the world. Unfortunately they won’t be brewing it again until next year.
that's a shit ton of beer to bring home.
i'll be there tomorrow afternoon then off to the CCB Criterium race featuring Florida's longest outdoor bar
Drinking some Arctic Panzer Wolf Imperial IPA from Three Floyds right now. YUM!
Red's Rye PA from Founder's Brewery now.
This is another great thread that needs to be brought back to life.
Anyone familiar with Intuition Ale from Jacksonville. I've had some different stuff from them lately and really liked it.
Three W's In My Life: Ward, Weinke, and Winston
Any BOCK drinkers out there?
My buddy works there. It's a really awesome company that treats their employees very well. Great beer too!
