Anyone give things up for lent? I don't. I'm also not catholic. However, my colleague (went to a catholic school and married to a catholic) gives up a ton of stuff and it really hampers my lunch and happy hour options.
Not a Catholic so I didn't give up anything. I have a work buddy who gave up fireworks though.

Sodas(including Monsters), fast food, hamburgers, will also be adding more cardio to my work outs. Also, just learned Ash Wendsday is a national no smoking day in Ireland, so I'll be trying that tomorrow. Also, will be trying to cut back through the course of Lent, hopefully quitting eventually.

My wife is a Methodist and is giving up chocolate and bread.
I'm a sometimes Pirate and will give up Brussell Sprouts. Maybe Rutabagas too.
As less than devout Catholics, we used to give up candy as kids, soda too. No more.
My son-in-law is Jewish and is giving up ham, especially the salty kind. I will also abstain from this item in sympathy. He sneaks bacon though.

I am an Episcopal. I gave up Sweets. Happy hour would bother me but not as much.
