Any of you Noles ever make it up to Omaha for this? I know they have been here a few times. I know over on the other site, the Noles were always bitter about this because of how they perform when they get there, but hey at least they get there. Anyways, I grew up next to Omaha, and go to the College World Series every year. Rosenblatt was awesome, and I was disappointed when they decided to get a new stadium, but I am sold on it, the place is great. If you ever get a chance, I recommend coming up for it sometime, especially if FSU makes it back.
I've been to the old Rosenblatt. Easily one of my top 5 sporting events I've ever been to. Would love to check the new place out, although I'm sure it won't be the same.
You know, I absolutely hated that they decided to tear it down, and was completely against it, and you're right it's not the same. But it is still great, and the atmosphere is still awesome
I have always wanted to make a trip out there one year, but have never had the funds and time too.
I hope for your sake, someday you are able to do so
Went in 2008. Loved everything about the experience other than the Noles going 0-2. I strongly recommend it for any baseball fan.
Water is just beer that hasn't reached its full potential.
Got to cover it when FSU made it in 2010 and had an awesome experience. Driving up to Rosenblatt for the first time was really great. The spectacle, atmosphere, all that was really something special.
And Omaha itself is a really, really neat town. With lots of steak.

Let's not carried away about Omaha. It's not the best place ever and plus there are a lot of husker fans there
used to live in omaha, CWS is an awesome time unless Nebraska makes it to the series. Probably will check out the new stadium this year whether we make it or not.
Agree 100%. I thought the atmosphere would suck, but last year was great.
Looking forward to mid-June already.
Made the trip in 2000 for the title game after the marathon game vs Stanford gave us our shot. That was back when the winners of the 2 brackets played 1 winner take all game and not the best of 3 we have today.
Edit-was 99, not 2000.

Oh god I hated that, especially when all those mouth breathers showed up with their Eric Crouch jerseys on and had no clue about baseball
Ha, well, in my limited experience, I enjoyed it.
I do not know if you remember and I am pretty sure my seats were by yours in Omaha and at the Supers against Vandy! Back to the OP, Omaha and the CWS @ Rosenblatt was an amazing experience and I have never gotten chills like that seeing a field or arena outside of Doak
Actually the last game I went to at the Blatt was the last year there. Elimination game with FSU and TCU where TCU had an awesome comeback. I really didn't have a rooting interest in the game, just wanted to see a good one, and definitely got that. Sorry if I brought up bad memories
On my bucket list
