Whitfield wants to hear from A&M

    I'm not sure if Whitfield will get an offer from A&M. LaRue has a long relationship with our DB coach Yates and he is scheduled to be on campus soon so he may commit on that trip and then we'd be done I believe. A&M is a very popular place to be because they have the best QB in the country for at least 1 more year and possibly up to 3 more. Playing in the best conference with the best QB and an offense that will score a ton a points is any WR's dream. We'll see what happens.

    T&M fans are you all worried about losing your OC? You had a good thing going can ya keep it going?

    Exactly what I said. They may want to offer a kid, but unless he shows up to campus and accepts the offer in person he won't get one. Doesn't mean they didn't want the kid behind closed doors, it's about image.

    look, A&M can live in whatever fantasy world it wants to live in. I do not care. However, if you do not want people discussing reality then do not leave your board.

    Your class will end up from a quality standpoint being about the same as Sherman's last full class. That's fine. just do not pretend you can recruit head to head with Texas. With a very few exceptions, you have not done it for 100 years. The school that is the primary year in and out competition for Texas is Oklahoma and it will always be Oklahoma.

    I must confess while we can disagree i expected a bit more maturity form the A&m posters than our own posters. a downvote just because i stated the obvious regarding the pecking order in Texas? That action is no different than the legions of middle school like posters we have on this board.

    Kliff Kingsbury was the OC for the the entire season except the bowl game. KK took the head coaching job at his alma mater Texas Tech after the last game of the year.

    Sumlin turned the OC job over to our RBs coach for the bowl game against OU. So for Aggie fans we could tell a difference in the play calling a little bit because we ran the ball more than under KK. However, most of America didn't really notice a difference.

    Not sure how it will all turn out in the end, although it looks like one asst was hired today to take the place of Polian (took Nevada HC job), and another one will be announced shortly to replace KK. Odds are McKinney (OC for bowl game) will get the interim tag taken off and be the full time guy from here on out.
