Are we looking at him as a slot receiver? or more specifically for special teams. Are our other offers are not panning out? i.e. Bailey. Wouldn't think Whitfield was too high on our board.

I was closer to Marlin than I am with Marquoin. Actually I can't say I have a personal relationship with him at all. But I am close to his recruiting because of family ties I have built in. If signing day were today he would be a Nole. He is all Nole in heart. He is just trying to do what's best for him so he's letting the process play out. Keep in mind his brother committed early, and had drama late in the process. The family does not want that again. Jimbo has built a great relationship with the Lane's (He was Marlin's primary recruiter). So that also gives us a nose up on the competition. Tennessee, LSU, and a sleeper imo is Purdue will be in it for the long run. I'd say we are number 1 right now and the others are close behind. Hope I answered ur question. Again this is not coming from Marquoin directly but from family of his I am close too.

I agree with this. Florida State is clearly the number one school right now, but it's early.
Purdue has actually done well in Florida as of late and really gone after some of the big names. I don't think they will be able to snag Lane, but their efforts are evident in the sunshine state.
Thanks for this Why_Me.
