What did Alabama win before Saban got there....They had a title in 92....and did nothing during the 80's. They went through coaches like crazy. LSU never won a thing to Saban and now Miles go there. College football has changed....And money RULES the day. Texas should dominate in college. They should never go 7-5 or 8-4. The resources that school has are on a different level. They get someone in there that instill discipline...gets the team looking like Bama does....and that program can be on cruise control within 3 years. Their weight program is nowhere near what the SEC schools have.

ESS, you aren't saying coaching matters are you? :-)
You've taken enough flak of late so I ain't starting nothing witcha!
Speaking of the flak you've taken, why don't we mention the real elephant in the room? The one team that is possibly best positioned to do it is Miami. They are 3-4 defensive playmakers from being pretty scary--if they can develop Yearby, Michel, Coley and Lane properly and that QB what's his name. If they can truly lock FSU and others out of SFL, it's a good bet they'll have their defense back soon.
Miami is wildly unpredictable. Two seasons from now they could be a decimated program going 3-8--easily imaginable. It's also easily imaginable they could be running roughshod over the ACC en route to a national title and a decade of vintage Miami.

Kum don't get me wrong; your showing that Miami's best teams were loaded with OOS stars was powerful and compelling.
I still think, though, that if Muami keeps a few Matthew Thomases and Keith Bryant's at home to go along with their offensive stars, it's scary what they could do.
Actually, the offensive stars are kinda the ones they've always gotten in-state, right?
