Where are the OTs?

  • I am seeing all of these Guards and Centers offered but the position where we need depth, Tackle, we only have 1 commit when we need 3-4.

  • Extreme I think we all see the same thing to a certain extent.

Some think Denson will be a RT, he likely needs to hit 6'4 but apparently he has relatively long arms and at 315-320 could be a darn fine RT. Klepal who we lead by a mile for is 6'4 290 and could play RT.

We have Hart who will most likely be a RSo next year and Austin Golson is a stud. And our two starters next year will likely be Erving and Watson IYAM.

So basically as long as we land Golson and, say, Klepal in this class and then 2 relatively elite OTs in next class we're perfectly fine. I think we keep Kyle Meadows on the hook till January while we go after Tunsil and Gray.

If we go 12-2 or better we'll land Tunsil or Gray and lol at our previous need.

  • We already have Golson, a big time prospect. Then we have Tunsil, Gray and even Klepal(could play in or out IMO) in line. As well as a few others out there(one will definitely join the party in Jan,) and that Huge 6'8 kid(was it Duckworth) is at prep school I believe.

Additionally, if you shirt Hart this year, you have him and Pettis with three years of playing time left after this season.

Therefore, we need two or three(swing guy like Klepal IMO) this year and then another two next year. Loading up with 4-5 and then losing them all at the same time has sort of put us in the predicament we were in last year.

Not sure you can count Duckett and Pettis. They are more just tall guards. JMO

if you watched the spring game #74 can play, if we get in a pinch he is serviceable

  • Is tackle a more important position? and is it more athletic? what makes a kid better for RT/LT or RG/LG? Is it based on QB blindside which is more important?
