What should we expect attendance-wise?

  • On one hand, FSU has dropped from #11 to unranked since their last home game. On the other had, FSU will have gone 35 days without a home game.

  • shrug I have been trying to sell my tickets all season with only two bites and got stiffed both times. Tried selling them on Stubhub, ebay, craigslist and on here. Face value if anyone wants them. Still got tickets for Virginia and Miami as well.

  • Bummed, but I'm in trial next week so we're staying home. Also trying to unload tickets @ $20 each and haven't found any takers.

  • I was realistically expecting somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-55,000, but since it's Parents Weekend, hopefully we will do better than that. I know it's been a while since we played a home game, but a lot has happened since then to keep the casual fans away.

  • i would say probably 60K. I think the OU loss was fine, and clemson was acceptable, but the Wake lost really lessened all the good will in the average fans mind. The Miami game will still be a sellout. Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised.

I know I was going to go and I just decided not to because I have too much going on at work right now. I really dont think I would have talked myself out of this game if we were 5-1 and ranked, but its just hard for me to be excited about the noles right now, especially since I was going to have to drive into town, drop 300 on a hotel, and I am going to MNF in Jax this week to go see my ravens who are gonna crush and play like I wish FSU does. I love both teams, I just dont have the money to justify dropping 500 to go and take the GF and watch FSU play UMD.

  • I believe its Homecoming this weekend.

    LaurenNole04

  • I am guessing around 70k. I won't be there but was lucky enough to sell my tickets on stubhub. Got $22 each for the UMD game and $30 each for the NC State game. Section 13, row 21, seats 23-24.

It is not. Homecoming is against UVA. Only promotion going on this weekend is military appreciation.

  • There will be a lot of empty seats. The Wake loss probably ensured that being the case. The fair weather fans aren't going for obvious reasons. Even hardcore fans aren't showing up. They still love the team, but I know plenty of people just aren't up for doing the travel and spending lots of money to go and see what has been a very mediocre team the last few games. I think if we go undefeated until Miami then we might see a close to full stadium for that game, maybe not even then given the struggles of Miami. All the others will probably have a lot of empty spaces.

Normally I try to be positive, but I have seen a lot of empty seats even when we are doing well.

    Correct.

    Homecoming is on the 19th
Parent's Weekend in on the 29th of October.

I think parent's weekend will draw a great crowd.

  • 65K and they'll be lucky to have it. Jimbo has been begging the FSU fans to be the chicken and not the egg and he/the team haven't held up their end of the bargain. FSU gets an actual winstreak with a well coached team and the house will be PACKED.

  • a bunch of excuses in this thread.

EIther you are going and supporting the team regardless, or you are not. No need to put together a long drawn out paragraph to make yourself feel better. Hopefully people get out and support the 17-22 year old kids busting their ass for our school.

(If you dont have the money to be there regardless of if they are 6-0 or 3-3, then im not talking to you)

Better question might be, how many fans does the team/coaches deserve showing up?
As stated above that loss to a not very good WF team derailed the season completely. Never ever should have happen and I don't care if Snow White was playing QB for FSU and the 7 Dwarfes were blocking.
GO CARDS! Wonder if LaRussa can coach CF?grumble

Actually a ton of people will put there lives on hold and go and spend the money if the team is good. It is hard for me to justify dropping 500 dollars for a recent college grad to watch mid level acc team take on an fsu team with 3 losses. I will be at Miami and might be at uva but it's just hard to spend money I barely have when jimbo way oversold his team. I went to everygame the last 5 football seasons, unfortunately.

  • All of this negativity simply flat-out sucks.

Yes, losing to Wake was mind-blowingly bad, but the loss to Wake counts the same in the "L" column as the other two.

Does this team deserve our support? Heck yes! These guys work very hard to put the best product they can out on the field, win or lose. I will guarantee that losing three straight stung the kids on the team far worse than they stung me, and I was pulling my hair out pissed when they lost to Wake.

The Duke game was a solid if incomplete reboot to the season, and we get four of the next five games at home. It would be great if the community rallied around this team - I'm sure the kids are working hard to reciprocate.

FSU Football. Making cool the new swag since 2013.

  • There will be about 75K. We had around that much for Charleston Southern. We haven't had a home game in a month. Crappy record or not people are excited to get back to Doak.
