I'd be worried about how much our schedule would fluctuate. Some years we'd face murderers row and some years we'd be worse off then this year. Gotta be the Big 12 IYAM.
I was thinking the same thing even over the summer with all the big12 alignment discussion. If there is no possibility of joining SEC where the money split would be better than anything the ACC could ever provide going independent again probably is a superior to continuing in the ACC. The difficulty of being independent is getting the proper scheduling that would allow us to be a perennial selection to the new playoff system (also is there a requirement to be in a championship game to qualify for the playoffs?) and somehow a tv deal must be arranged.
