I'm ready to see Karlos take over Brooks and watching him and Joyner punish college football. The qb race will be the most competitive and deepest since Jimbos been here. Jimbo and Craig will have a tough decision to make.

Brooks > Joyner, and judging from this past season its not even that close
Brooks had one bad game against Clemson, Joyner did close to nothing all year except catch a INT that was tipped right to him
And Joyner's UF game was ten times as bad as Brooks Clemson game
Joyner is too damn small for defense at this level, he is good at hitting guys from Samford and Duke but when faced against a real team he is nowhere to be found time and time again
Joyner had the most disappointing season on defense by far for me, and the ACC making him first team all conference was one of the best trolls I have ever seen
They had nearly identical season statistics but Brooks is bigger with a slight edge in tackles while forcing one fumble, much rather the safeties be Brooks and Karlos with Joyner moving to nickel back, corner or even switch to offense cause his best attribute is having the ball in his hands

Disagree for the most part. Yes his season was somewhat disappointing but he is not "too damn small" for anything. He certainly wasn't too small in 2011.
In my opinion, he's wasted at safety. Maybe Pruitt will put him in better position to play to his strengths. I believe he should move to corner. Our CBs lacked physicality which was on display in the UF game you mentioned. Joyner has long arms to offset his lack of height, straight line speed and the aggression to play on the edge.

Wrong... Joyner > Brooks and it's not even close. Just because he didn't make any spectacular plays doesn't mean he wasn't doing his job. Joyner is one of the top 5 player in our program....

Not wrong, they both are practically equal to each other and bring many of the same things to the table. Ill take Brooks due to his size, Joyner is only better than Brooks when it comes to having the ball in his hands, for that is what Joyner does better than almost anybody in the country, let alone on the Noles roster. But acting like Joyner is by far and away better is false, and that was clear this season for Joyner was a two year starter, meanwhile Brooks was a first year starter and played equally as well if not better in almost every game... the fact they have nearly identical stats speaks to this more than anything.
Brooks is a very good talent in his own right, and will be drafted higher when his time comes... you can bet on it.
Joyner certainly didn't do his job against UF, unless painting himself invisible was his job.
I like Joyner, but he is far from an elite safety and won't ever be one due to the fact he is 5'8" and 185 pounds
But you, like most Noles on the internets almost always support the 5 star kids over somebody who wasn't the big time recruit
lolz at top 5 player too
1- Chris Thompson
2- Tank Carradine
3- Bjoern Werner
4- Devonta Freeman
5- Rashad Greene
6- James Wilder Jr
7- Tim Jernigan
8- Christian Jones
9- Brandon Jenkins ( would have had a much bigger impact than Joyner this season )
10- Lamarcus Joyner ( maybe, I could make an argument for Rhodes, Nick O, Hopkins and Watson )He barely makes my top 10 in terms of kids on the current roster

Joyner's ability to cover ground on the back end is greater than Brooks. Joyners instincts are better. Joyner's man to man coverage skills are better. If he were 3 inches taller he would be a first round draft pick. I'm not saying Brooks isn't good, but it's laughable to say he's better than Joyner. 10 out of 10 coaches start Joyner over Brooks anywhere on the field...
By the way, he's better than Freeman, Greene, Wilder, Thompson( due to his durability), and Jones...

I totally disagree, on almost all of that
fwiw Im not crazy about Brooks or Joyner, both of them leave a lot to be desired for me
Karlos had as many picks as both and he barely played, in 3 years now I have never seen anything special out of Joyner unless the ball was in his hands
And his hitting ability is over-rated, I still have nightmares of him being scared of Logan... going to tackle him half-assed and getting drilled because of his fear.. One of the worst attempted tackles I have ever seen in my life from a so called head hunter, but what can you expect from a dwarf

A midget ? which do you prefer ? Joyner is small as hell mane... too small for my liking, and its clear he is scared to hit somebody like Logan Thomas for he wanted no part of that man
Joyner has done very little to impress me so far, I realize this fan base loves their 5 star kids... But Im far from being on team Joyner until the kid shows me something in a game that matters... been 3 years and Im still waiting
