Any other candidates you're hearing?
Any word on other interviews?
Wasn't the candidate that interviewed prior supposed to be informed for or against today?
I just assumed he was a no-go.

Coley would be a good fit at FSU. Knows south Florida, has OC experience, and knows some of the players. Would be a good hire

It would look weak and petty to take Coley back if you guys aren't joking. Anyways I only want Coley back after he fails at Miami and we can hire him back at a lesser compacity at a huge pay cut. For what he did we payed way to much; after seeing Pruitts success and Jimbos new hires we can and will do better. The initial sting hurt but it is a change I am now happy happened

Hiring Johnson makes zero sense. He has zero ties to recruiting in the south. He has been fired by every school he has worked at. Two times he was out of work for over a year. The guy has not proven to be a good coach or recruiter. I honestly think he is on the level of a mark Mchale hire for Jimbo.

Does the lack of big names show that Jimbo is basically looking for a QB coach (i.e. no play-calling duties)? If so, (to Josh, Nee, anybody else would know) has Chris Weinke's name been throwing around as a QB coach? How would you guys feel about that?

I'm not a Johnson supporter. However, a lot of folks believe Fisher will be the play caller at FSU, so why does it matter if Johnson is hired or not? He's a "puppet" after all. If that's who Fisher wants, then we should be fine with it. Fish wants a south Florida recruiter on staff, and understandably so, but we struggled to recruit south Florida with Coley and Gran (No Dade or Broward signee with a Miami offer besides the St Thomas trio under thier watch), so I am not sure there is one sole individual that is available that will help us down there.

Big names, little names....there are no names besides Johnson. But yes, Josh has been steadfast in his belief that this will be a positional hire, not a coordinator one. No thank you regarding Weinke. We have the means to hire a proven commodity, not just a former Nole great.
