USF Game

I live in St. Petersburg and am a student at USF so I will DEFINITELY be going to this game. Anyone plan on traveling to Tampa? I've never been to a football game at USF since this is my first semester.

It is going to be epic. We're arranging for buses from Sarasota, and the Tampa club is going to have a crazy tailgate. Boosters are doing a Friday night block party. Yeah, FSU is going to own that stadium.

I had heard a ton of Noles were buying up tickets. That's awesome.

I just booked a marriott for $100, going to try and take the week off and drive to Tally for the Clemson game and then USF the following weekend.

I live in the Tampa Bay area as well. Have lots of USF friends, took some grad school pre-req classes at USF (Tampa and St Pete) and have been looking forward to this game since I had to hear all the USF fans in Tally when we lost.
I have been to a couple home USF games and they terrible. No atmosphere and they have the pirate ship shoot the cannons after a score then they wave their UT horns in circles. I guess when you have no traditions of your own you just co-opt others

It is not completed, but it looks like they travel to Ball State the week before we turn RJS to Doak Campbell South.

The Big East has their own scheduling issues right now too.
Between WVU, Pitt and Syracuse, there are a lot of moving parts over there.

What does everyone expect the %'s to be? I don't live in Tampa and have no pulse on their fan base, but it should be >50% Noles right?

I am not so sure. I went to the WVU-USF game last year and I think there were more WVU fans. This will be the biggest home game for USF possibly ever so they will come out in force. It will be close IMO.

I don't know how strong USF's fan base is, but there are a lot of Noles in the Bay area. Then factor in that it is closer than Tally for people in Orlando and South Florida, and you add in another significant population. Plus many students are either from the Tampa area or have friends to stay with in Tampa. I think a lot of students will make it down and will hopefully snatch up USF student tickets. I also think a lot of casual USF fans will snatch up their 3 game packs or season tickets with the thought of selling the FSU tickets on secondary market. FSU fans will buy up virtually everything on the secondary market.
I'm coming down from Jax and know that there will be a lot of competition for beds at friends places.
