This thread has been ridiculous.
Canolee is entitled to his opinion. So's everyone else. Canolee's opinion is Stork > Jones. What's funny is, that canolee has actually taken the time to analyze the film from this game (and others) and based on what he's seen, he likes Stork better. Y'all are going on hell knows what knowledge.
Barrett Jones is going to get drafted that highly partially because he might NOT be a center. He's played all across the line. They put him at C this year to get the five best linemen on the field. Obviously they liked their depth at T better than C. BJ is so strong in pass protect with quick feet that I think he could play as an LT in the NFL. I do not think he has the road grader size to play RT. Very smart and technically sound player. He also has more experience than Stork...proven product from the current preeminent college football powerhouse. The chance he can play T instead is why he is going to be drafted as high as he will be. If teams do not think he can play T, his stock might slip through no fault of his own.
Stork is an interior lineman all the way. Not a snowball's chance in hell that he can play anywhere other than C or G. Interior linemen are typically drafted lower in the NFL. Stork might actually be a better center than Jones....stouter, more strength. BJ struggled against Miss St. and TAMU (by his standards), when he faced off with a big DT (Cherrington) and a quick, little DT (Nealy), respectively. Nealy beat the crap out of him (below 280 lbs)...A&M really made it interesting by playing him over Jones and the other guy (forget his name) at the 3 technique.
Stork, on the other hand, has arguably been more consistent as a center all season long.

Actually, he DIDN'T say that.
What he said, since your comprehension skills have momentarily deserted you, was "I believe Barrett Jones is an AA and is a smart OL, but I’d take Stork over him in all honesty."
Personal preference, while stating he is an AA.
And he gave you a reason why.

I normally try to stay out of the mud slinging, but this is becoming unbearable. I enjoy reading canolee's breakdowns, as well as everyone else's, because I have never played football and honestly do not have a firm grasp on things from a player's/coach's point of view. Unfortunately anything that might have been learned ITT was greatly overshadowed by all the immature, pointless garbage that has become a mainstay on this board over the last year. It really needs to stop. As has been stated many times if you do not like reading a poster's comments or breakdowns, put them on ignore. If you disagree, why is it so hard to do it in a mature, respectful way? The most disappointing thing about this thread is that a Bama fan read canolee's analysis and, although he did not have the same opinion, was far more respectful than quite a few of the Noles on here.

In all seriousness, what you have managed to accomplish over the last few years is truly exceptional. You have managed to troll both sides of the aisle.
You troll those of us with a clue with your "Faircloth is good" and "Stork is better than Barrett Jones" talk, and you've managed to convince those without a clue that you know what you're talking about, a solid troll in its own right. You've held up the gag for multiple years and had success with it on multiple message boards.
The simultaneous troll is truly an accomplishment, and I salute you.

Now I'm curious. I know a bit about Canolee, but nothing about you, sir. You say you have a clue. OK, I would like to hear about your experience, either as a player on a HS level or higher, or as a Coach on a HS level or higher, or whatever capacity you learned your chops within. I always give credit where it is due, but like to know why I should place my confidence in someone before I do so. It's one thing to SAY one has an understanding of the nuance and minutiae of the game of tackle football, and another have gained the same through actual experience. This is NOT a flame, but a serious inquiry as to what back story you bring to the table.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
