I've always liked Stork. A 315 pound guy that moves well with a mean streak. For all those that think Jones is so much better, how good would he be in our system? How good would Stork look in theirs. It seems to me that Bama's system is "find a man, crush him and move on to the next". Our is more of angles and finis blocking..

I think the Center position is the most demanding position on the OL. Not only do you make the line calls, but then you have to perform a skill of delivering the ball cleanly before blocking a 300lb athletic defender. In fairness, I haven't watched Jones play any other position. Stork is pretty versatile as well, starting as a RSFr at OG and playing both tackle spots in the Spring. As for Jones, maybe he was playing hurt, because if Stork had a similar showing, you all would be screaming that he allowed too much penetration to a man that was head up. Maybe Geathers will turn into Vince Wolfork. I had heard that Jenkins and Jones were the UGa stars up front per mock drafts and not as much on Geathers.

And Jones will most likely go higher than Stork in the draft because Bama is the TEAM in college football right now and will have guys over drafted as a result. It was like Jamal Reynolds going high in the first round when he followed players like Boulware, Wadsworth, Wilson, etc and went higher due to his FSU lineage.

I'm all for a full contact Noles 247 Football Game next year. It could be an annual thing.

34, based on the one game, I'd take Stork from a physical standpoint. BTW, Watson had a brilliant year, but had I seen his game against VT or another one of the late games, my perception of him wouldn't be as high. It's a small sample on Jones, whereas, I've seen every snap from Stork for 2.5 years now. Based on the SECCG, I would not draft Jones in the first four rounds. He will get eaten up by odd man fronts IMO. Unless he was playing hurt? Which is possible up front this late in the year.

You don't have to read between the lines much to see that Canolee is not guilty of blind homerism here, but is instead indicting our coaches and their scheme, which he obviously thinks puts our lineman in a position of playing with no leverage. Canolee is always nice, but he is definitely mad at Jimbo and Trickett about this.

For those of you who are openly nasty to Canolee, you have no idea how ridiculous you sound. And your ridiculousness has zip to do with whether you or Canolee is right or wrong. Just don't read his threads and save face.
