  • He's not in school. It would be the same thing if he didn't qualify, sat out a semester and got his SAT's up. He could enroll any place he wanted to in January since the ship he signed is canceled if he doesn't enroll in school by the end of August.

I do not believe it works that way.

You're right, it doesn't. His scholarship is good until June 30, 2012 which is the end of the upcoming academic year.

  • So theoretically he could enroll at a prep school and be on campus in July 2012. I know that won't happen, especially if playing time was a concern, but still a possibility. The ACC still owes us one for the Markish Jones crap with Clemson, so they should let him out to come to FSU,

  • The fact that Josh/Corey haven't jumped in here is kind of odd...

Can you go to a prep school after you've graduated? i know the ACC has a rule about kids that go juco must have their aa for them to get cleared... not sure how that works when dealing with prep schools though.

  • You can go to a prep school after graduation. Most of them have high school and college teams.

  • The kid can back out of his LOI and sit out this season and be fine. Just would have to pay his way for one season to go to FSU. It would be perfect because he could fully recover from his ACL tear.

LOL, no. I haven't been on any of the premium boards there since Dot told Drew to cancel all the comp'd accounts.

I only miss club level, though. And only a little, since darn near everyone is here now.

  • can't he transfer anywhere he wants as long as he sits out for a year?? -- aren't scholarships only given for one year at a time?

And what is the point of this conversation anyways?? Is there a report saying he is unhappy with his decision or something?? Is he even at Clemson yet??

Yes. In an effort to be cool I try to pretend like I don't care about FSU football recruiting. Are you mentally handicapped or just incredibly stupid? lol, my god...

I think I figured out why Nova is so angry. Did anyone see the new South Park last night?

No he's not, that's the point. I'm not saying it's true at all, but as long as he's not in school he's not going to be bound by the letter of intent for the long haul. He may have to sit out a year, but after that he can go anyplace. If he enrolled in Clemson he wouldn't be allowed to go to another ACC team and would still have to miss a year.
If he's unhappy this make perfect sense in that he can take the full year to get healthy and hit the ground running in 2012.
