We did the interview following the conclusion of the night session. He went to tell Jimbo Fisher (all FSU commitments must be given to and approved by Fisher) and I went to my lodging in Tallahassee to write it up as it was late in the evening and the rooms in which media typically work were unavailable.

When I arrived, I hadn’t heard from the recruit and texted him to figure out what was up. He said that he hadn’t been able to get with Fisher and that he’d do so tomorrow morning, at which time I’ll talk with him again.

I wasn’t going to run the story without him committing to and being accepted by Fisher.. The recruit is a very good player, but I am not 100% sure that it is a player from whom the staff would accept a commitment at this very moment, because they might have higher targets on their board. It really says something about the level of FSU's recruiting that they could, potentially, ask a kid like this to wait. Still, if I had to guess, I'd guess that they would take the commitment.

***whoever this was, his commit was not accepted as of this morning.

Rumors are flying that we could get commitments from Collins, Whitfield, Z.Smith, D.Reynolds, D.Bellamy, D.Senat.

If we get 3 of those along with 2-3 more 2014 guys it would be a flash grenade of awesomeness.

I'd like to see us get pledges from a few defensive linemen soon. Kind of strange to see us with none at this point. Not saying I'm worried, I'm not at all. It would just be nice to fill out this class to the point where we're only looking at elite kids who MAY commit and all of our big needs are met.
