They are doing doing this just to get rises out of people-and this thread shows it worked. If circumstances were different, both would be going there as would Collins, coley and Bryant

Seriously though, Steward was a Nole fan and went to the division rival. So here comes a sports cliche, "at the end of the day" Thomas and Kirkland has to do what's best for their own interests which might mean going to FSU instead of UM.
As mentioned before Lynch and Fowler (not sure if I am allowed to type his name) were choppin' it up before signing with other schools. Anything can happen with these future scholars of America.

When mom visits FSU he will be going to miami...at least once, maybe twice in his college career. His mom loves the FSU coaches, she sees the school herself its over. I feel good about landing him.

Wait one second. I hate when people generalize education. It's his major that is important. FSU has several elite colleges and majors, just like Miami.

The only reason is to stay at home, rep Miami, and/or Mama. Miami offers little else over the next few years. Sorry, I can buy picking UF. I cannot buy UM.

I think Burns was choppin' it up at some of the summer camps. Now he looks like a solid UM commit. None of it means anything.

um overall is better than uf overall. both are better than FSu. UM is fairly equal to Emory now.

There are always going to be kids that are attracted to SoBe as well as local kids that want to stay local for family reasons. Every kid has a different decision matrix. We will win some and Miami will win some.
Having said that, the impending NCAA sanctions should give pause to kids. And if the NCAA wants to have any credibility going forward they need to give a substantial penalty to UM for their transgressions. Otherwise the risk of the one lawsuit that has been filed by the state of Penn and potential of others who have been punished in the recent past to file, goes up considerably.

The sanction stigma is losing steam. These recruits know that with what Miami has given up already the worst would be maybe one more bowl ban and scholarship reductions. It is not about NCAA credibility is more of the fact that UF and FSU are a little nervous that Miami is on its way back and recruiting is going to get tougher in S. Fla. They not transgressions, they are still rumors aside from what little has been confirmed. If you know of other FACTS please share the link. You are right on the point that kids are going to choose certain schools for family reasons or personal preferences.
