    On the other hand, Franz Beard isn't exactly subtle about being a Florida fan, is he? I don't know anything about him or his work, but he definitely comes off as incredibly biased and condescending, based on several posts of his I've seen.

    You can't win an argument against a Gator. We just settle for whipping their asses on the field.

    If you ever read any of his old stuff when he was on Gatorcountry he used to be pretty negative about FSU in his articles. He was up their with Jason Higdon and Hollywood Blob who he used to work for. He even had an article with him interviewing EJ during the Under Armour pratices trying to get EJ to decommit from FSU, because of the Academic stuff.

    I think the fact that Newberg and other Noles247 staff don't come across as FSU cheerleaders adds a lot to their credibility and is one of the major reasons why I like this site.

    This is true. Over here it's just the facts. In short, we have professionals.

    Beard is just shameless in his homerdom. He's a pretty good representation of the fanbase, though. Just the personification of a complete and utter tool.

  • Believe it or not, Franz has been really humbled over the last couple seasons. Before the 2010 season he was saying stuff about how jimbo would never beat urban Meyer. Franz biggest problem is he is very defensive about certain players and coaches he likes. For example, say something negative about Chris Rainey and it's akin to somebody threatening his mother.

    Yep, every thread about UF yall post I will be over to put my 2 cents in.. And if yall clowns wernt over on our board lurking you wouldnt have a clue about what Franz beard says, now would you? But the difference is I say whats on my mind on your board, yall just come over to our board and look around and dont say sh*t. And I have no clue why, we wouldnt mind having yall chime in over there but yall never do. And yall are the ones that have weekly threads about UF and how bad we are. Which yall have already heard my opinion on that. But yall make these threads bashing UF and then get mad when I stick up for my team. If we had a thread bashing yall I would hope every single one of yall would be there to defend your team. Thats one reason I enjoy this site so much, as long as it dont get disrespectful I enjoy chatting with fans from other teams.. But yall are quick to get real disrespectful, real quick.. And thats why you get the responses you do..

    You sound like almost every Cane fan that comes to our board. The only thing is despite your constant use of ya'll, its slightly more legible than what those guys spew out. Very slightly however. The constant recollections of things that happened more than 3 seasons ago puts you guys in the same category as those losers.

    If you feel it is your duty to protect your team. Thats fine, but you better be prepared to make that your full time job. If that is what you want, I think its compelling to keep testing you and wasting your time. We are rivals. We will continually trash your team. It is even easier when we have owned you the past several seasons. If you wanted a jort-wearing, gator love fest in which we all stare and smile at tebow pictures, then stay on your board. It is that simple. If you want to have a debate, thats awesome, most of us would welcome that, but we will have people who will absolutely trash your team at will. If you cant handle that, you need to just stay off the board. It is a simple concept.

    same for UF....Looked thru 5 pages and couldn't find one but it's one every other day over here. Funny if you read the linked thread it has 5-6 Noles posting.

    Most UF fans don't believe FSU will be a tough game.
