I wouldn't go as far as saying I think he wins the job, but I wouldn't be surprised at that outcome and, in all honesty, I would prefer that outcome.

Why does Winston (your supposed guy) start?
He's playing baseball right now. Maybe if he wasn't doing both this Spring I could see him winning it but he is. Yeah, maybe he doesn't miss a practice but that doesn't account for all the time Coker and Trickett will be able to spend watching film and learning from their mistakes outside of practice that Jameis won't have the time to do (he does still have to go to class after all. They might also be able to spend time throwing (outside of practice) and getting the timing down with the other receivers.
At any rate I'd love it if Jameis wins the job b/c that'd mean he is just that good and if he's that good being an FSU fan is going to be a ton of fun for at least the next couple of years.

I always thought this kid was going to be the starter after EJ left. He has all the tools, the only thing with would hold him back is his knowledge of the play book.
Physically he has better tools than any QB in our camp right now.

Winston will win it. No reason for Clint to start when we have 4 easy games to start with.
Besides... Playing at Pitt is a great early test for Winston. Not a great team, weather is a non issue, not a loud stadium. I think it's perfect.

Question for the crowd: any chance Jimbo runs a 2 QB system for any amount of time in 2013 (e.g., a couple games)?
I know this isn't consistent with Jimbo's tendencies, but this season may fall under the *exceptional case* case.

Watched film of Winston all morning. Can't see him losing the starting job to anyone. Way too good!
Ok, watched Coker film. Kid has the goods too, will be tough. I can see the argument for him too.
We have talent in the camp, this should be a fun competition.

I think it was pretty apparent in the uf and acccg that Jimbo didn't trust any of our QBs

It's an interesting theory, but I think it would drive him nuts. To Jimbo, the QB is more than just the guy throws and hands off. He wants the QB to be the unquestioned driving force behind the offense and to be the guy that the locker room looks to as a leader.
Can't ask the team to get behind a guy if the head coach can't get behind a guy.
