I agree with your assessment T-noles, but our play coming off byes and games where we didn't have to prep much last year are some cause for concern. Quite frankly, our two worst games of the year were where we had a bye week and when we had 10 days to prepare. Conventional wisdom would say you're right though.

I think Jimbo will change up the strategy this year during the bye week. I bet they go full pads for a few more practices to knock the rust off

I just booked my room as well. For all who definitely plan to go to the game, I suggest you go ahead and book your room now. Hotels fill up quick for their home games, and the prices have already spiked. You have a better chance of getting a good hotel at a reasonable price near Roanoke or Troutville, which is 30 to 40 minutes away, and near the airport if you are flying in. Several hotels near the I-81 exit in Blacksburg have booked out since yesterday.
