  • Its apparent we have a lot of Cane lurkers. So just in case you're not sure how to talk sh!t...

    1. Always evoke the 5 titles
    Present day events don't have any place in a real sports debate. Its all about five titles. Excuse me, DA five titles. No college football team has ever one more. Oops, I mean no, never mind. Its all about DA U! Swagger.

    2. The backups are always better than the starters.
    When a starter gets hurt, graduates or gets thrown off the team, hey, no worries bro! His backup was better anyways.

    NOTE: The newly anointed starter's backup instantly becomes better than him.

    3. New HC returns the swagger.
    We think the new coach was actually their fifth choice. Guess what? IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT WE THINK! He will return the swagger. He will ooze swagger. Cuz da U invented swagger. Other schools who try to swagger are not doing it right. Swagger is all important. Swagger.

  • Don't forget to also try the newest tactics

    4) distract the conversation away from UM altogether and bring up how the any other team is better than FSU...VT, Florida, etc.

    5) bring up how our newest 5-star commit will play MLB instead of ever suiting up for FSU. (my personal favorite example of sour grapes)

  • I'll add a couple that I've heard:

    "The 2001 Miami Hurricanes was the greatest college football team ever."
    Doesn't matter that it's 2011

    "Da U has the most players in the NFL and 10 of them made the NFL Top 100 list"
    None of them have any eligibility left, so they can't help the 2011 Canes

    "We have talent but it was coaching and a lack of team unity that derailed us under Randy Shannon"
    That's funny, I didn't hear any of that mentioned when Jacory was in the "Heisman Conversation" in 2009 or when Miami was 4-1 going into the 2010 game against FSU

  • You forgot the "recruiting rankings don't matter because Sean Taylor was a 2 star"

    Obviously to us stupid FSU fans we fail to realize that Golden is a better talent evaulator than any other major D1 Coach.

    The reason their guys don't have offers from any "real" football teams is simply because Golden is Butch Davis on Steroids on the talent evaulation front.
