The New Big XII vs The SEC

    You have the Bear – Our legend is still alive pissing off half the fan base
    We had a crazy coach who put his players in dark closets – You have a crazy person who eats grass

    You have “Roll Tide” – We have “Boomer Sooner”
    You have grown men bark like dogs and squeal like pigs – Our grown men play Cowboys and Indians on Saturdays

    I say all this to point out that I think Florida State made the right decision to go the BIg XII over the SEC. I think I am out of these ridiculous comparisons, please add any that I forgot to mention.

    "We", to its credit, won two Nattys in the last six years. If you are a real UF fan, it should make you sick to your stomach to see rivals Bama, LSU and $AU$ win the others.

    I'll guarantee you could not find anyone on his board deleriously breaking into "ACC" chants when UNC or Duke were winning multiple NCAA hoops titles, and you will not find anyone here chanting "Big 12" if Texas or OU is kicking our teeth in. Texas and OU are not inviting FSU into the Big 12 to lose to FSU - I assure you that everyone here is going into this with their eyes open.

    As for Weis, it was not FSU's HC who was stupid enough to bring his fat ass on-staff.

    the Big 12 is not totally offstting the cost for WVU-and the cost for them to leave the BigLeast is only around 10-11 million, not the 22+ million for you guys to leave the ACC

    again if you guys are 2.4 million in the hole right now-please tell me where you think you come up with the funds to leave the ACC- need I remind you of your average attendance at home football games the past 3 seasons

    Personally I think FSU is an SEC caliber school and should be in the SEC-I do not see other than the $ why you wouod want to be in teh Big 12-I azlso thought it was foolish on FSU's part to have joined the ACC when the sEC had offered back in the 90's-I rtealize Bobby wanted the aCC because he thought y'all could dominate and for a few years you did-but then for whatever reason you came down to the level of the other ACC schools instaed of bringing the ACC up

  • We went to the ACC because it offered more money at the time. And I've not heard that we have an invite to the SEC. It seems that ship has sailed. So it's really not a matter of FSU wanting to be in the BIG whatever over the SEC, in fact I think most fans would prefer to be in the SEC. But we can't just hang around and wait for the ACC to implode, we need to stay competitive and right now the B1G as far as I know is the only conference offering us that opportunity.
