Terrance Shannon cleared to resume non-contact workouts

  • Tonight on his post-game radio show, Leonard Hamilton said that Terrance Shannon has been cleared to resume non-contact workouts. He said he doesn't expect Shannon to play Sunday at Virginia Tech, but that he "could."

    Shannon went earlier this week to visit a spine specialist in California to get another opinion on his injury.

    Tim, what's the point in rushing him back? I know the injury looked worse than it was, but FSU isn't going anywhere, and it just feels like an unnecessary risk.

    Well if it's truly not serious and he is OK, then there's not much reason not to bring him back. Leonard has been pretty consistently concerned with his players' well being. I don't believe he'd put anyone in any type of risky situation.

    Good. It just kinda seemed like he was done for the season, then all of a sudden Hams saying there is a chance he could play Sat.

    I just dont see much upside in bringing him back. This team kinda beat up at the moment.
