If I'm the GM of an NFL team, under no circumstances is he an option. He is too slow to be a running threat in the NFL and and too inaccurate to be a passing threat. He floats the ball too much, even on the beautiful completions (that doesn't work in NFL). You can't seriously look at the frozen ropes/pin point accuracy...that comes out of RG3's /Russel Wilson's hands and think this guy is going to be like them.

Honestly, he reminds me of Tebow... except he doesn't have the defensive talent Tebow had while @ UF. The only NFL level pass I seen in the 2nd half was the TD pass in the back of the end zone to bring them within 2.

Plus... with Al Davis passed, Mike Tannenbaum fired, and AJ Smith fired... which one of these future GMs/owners are going out on that limb, proving they are batshit crazy?

His best bet is to enjoy the final year of his college, where he could go for a Heisman and possibly compete for a NC, if he gets lucky... because his career in the NFL will be painfully short lived.

Don't know, but if you look at the Sanchez's, Gabbarts etc., then you'll
realize that GMs aren't Gods when it comes to evaluation.

I'd agree with this. Don't forget LSU has a stellar defense and had him either sacked, hurried or on the run about 80% of the time. I'd say he played a HELL of a game. NFL? I don't know. Maybe not 1st or early round, but definitely drafted. From what I read he's pretty savvy, and could grasp the playbook better than Vince Young did.

I will take Boyd over Manuel all day everyday. Manuel could not take the beating Boyd did last night. Manuel would have had deer in the headlights look all night. Say what you will, but Boyd has progressed when Manuel hasn't.
