Why anyone who knows CFB would be surprised by that article is beyond me. That said, dude is paid to win football games and championships, and thats what he did, save the "holier than thou" bs for sunday school.

Fair point.
You forget one huge difference. Rebuilding in the SEC is light years more difficult then rebuilding int he B1G. It wouldn't take Ohio St 4 years to recover in the B1G. As you will see this fall they would probably only be down a year or two tops.
And to answer your question, would I take 2 NC's in 6 seasons knowing full well we would suck in years 7-10....yep, sure would.

I don't think you realize how good the players on the roster were when Urban arrived. It was stacked with NFL talent. Zooker was a great recruiter especially at UF. You guys don't have anything close to that level of talent on your roster. Urban also got lucky with a five star spread QB growing up 40 miles away, who worshipped the gators. Take away Tebow and he doesn't win a NC either year. Take away Tebow and that team explodes upon itself in year 3.

You're clearly joking right, easier to rebuild in the Big 10? You do realize that you have to go to other states to recruit, especially in Florida and the way things are looking; the BIG three already are putting a fence around it once again. FSU, started this whole thing again and they won't let go, Florida is up there already and Miami is just now beginning its steady claim. Look I would agree with you but things are a little different nowadays and you won't get any recruits that easily anymore, and Ohio State's recruit are not the best per-se in the country, just take a look at anyone roster, there are kids from Florida in all OF THEM.

Forgive my ignorance....but according to most everyone I hear from the state of Florida that Urban Meyer is a POS coach....and won strictly because he got lucky? Huh?
I am sure that certainly wasn't the case 5 years ago when he won his second title, or was it? It just sounds like sour grapes to me.
But I respect your opinion nonetheless.
