Agreed. I'd argue that Mack has underachieved more than Bobby ever did (in the final years, even). Most top HS recruits in Texas naturally want to go to UT. The amount of talent in Texas, obviously, is very high. In Bobby's final years, we still had Florida and a better Miami (than now) to compete with for recruits.
Honestly, the title they have is more attributable to Vince Young playing as Superman (a lot like Cam did) all season long and ESPECIALLY against USC. Mack still sucked as a coach.
A&M is rising, especially by joining the SEC, b/c it allows them to differentiate from UT, instead of being their redheaded little brother in the Big 12. OU gets theirs in Texas, but still...Texas is still the flagship program in that area.
Would Muschamp consider returning to Texas if offered the job? I know he grew up in Gainesville and thus he might stick around. Or is he only waiting for the UGa job, since he went to UGa and his wife is from the Atlanta area, as well.
Edit: Diaz is calling a miserable game, too.

BTW, if y'all thought our playcalling system was weird (towels...which I think is a superb idea), did anyone just catch those huge cards they have on the sidelines? One had a Hi-C logo on it.

Did #23 beat #13? And I'm a Seminole fan, but some of these posts are ridiculous. These same guys were clamoring for Dana Holgerson early in the year. Applewhite just took over, so some things were going to be rough. This is not Jeffrey calling plays.
Looked a lot better 2nd half. Defense stepped it up. OSU coaching was absolutely braindead for not helping the RT on Okafor, who was in the backfield all game long, whether using the bull rush or the speed rush.
I still maintain that Texas should be a top-10 program and title contender perennially with the talent they attract. Mack has underachieved for a while now.
In my opinion, Texas is probably the best job in the country. When the change is finally made, there will be no shortage of candidate's. As far as Mack is concerned, he has Vince Young and Pete Carroll to think for the one title he does have.
