    sarcasmEddie Goldman disagrees

I understand that one, he buddied up with MEJ.

Who knows, if we can get enough legacy kids in here, they may bring us that crystal...how hollywood would that be?

Trent Richardson and Eddie Williams were heading to Bama no matter what Jimbo did. You can't get them all.

    True.

  • I'm not worried in the least about Jimbo's recruiting. However, I am ready to see the recruiting success translate into on the field success.

    BlackOut

  • For Jimbo and Co., I think the next step can only be attained through winning. In my mind, the next logical step, is getting kids like Dorial Green-Beckham (I realize distance was a factor), Julio Jones, AJ Green, etc. I see us grab great quarterback recruits, we always nab great defensive recruits (and this will continue under Odell and Stoops), but we're having a hard time landing that #1 receiver.... that playmaker that is un-coverable.

    Hear me out.

I realize that Christian Green was a top recruit (and I think will be better than Rashad), and we've had Preston Parker (who was electrifying while here for a short time), but we haven't had a Pete Warrick here in a long time. It seems to me that we're missing that WR that can take the ball to the house on any play; the one that other teams have to build their defensive gameplans around. Having that playmaker takes a TON of heat off of your running game, and your QB, as it leaves a lot of options in your slot and on the other perimeter to exploit a focused plan.

I dunno, maybe I'm crazy on this one, and I do think Rashad and Christian have the potential to develop into that kinda guy, but we really need to land that 6'5-6'6, 4.3-4.4, 38' verticle guy.... ala Calvin Johnson/Julio Jones.

I think Bracy is that guy...from what I saw of him, he is going to present huge headaches.

  • There isn't that many elite football players coming out of the niceville/FWB/Milton/Pensacola area. Its a baseball area and we do a great job getting baseball players in the area. But when that one elite football recruit comes from that area every 2 or 3 years we really need to be on the running

  • Only issue really left to address is making sure depth rotations are going to be intact. If you're leaving experience gaps in units or gambling on healthy players to prevent experience gaps, you're taking a chance on blowing all your hard work in other areas. O-line has already been an issue in regards to this. I was afraid LB was going to be as well. Glad we landed Northrup to give us an extra body moving forward.

  • It would be nice to get a Jarad Moon, Kenny Knox, Derrick Brooks, Greg Allen, Julian Pittman, etc... every once in a while from the panhandle. Need I continue??? Amp Lee, Kenny Felder, ...

This is just my opinion but Hearns, Davis and Williams will all be someone's number one option. Especially Hearns. He stood out as a sophomore in Orlando against Armwood. In the right defense, kid has first round potential. Davis has elite speed and Williams has a 6'4" frame.

just as long as they're not FSU's number one option

  • apparently they're muschamp's number 1 option

which makes me and baby Jesus smile

Spot on. Wouldnt get my feelings hurt if FSU skipped PCola altogether...just not worth it unless a Trent or Derrick Brooks type comes along.
