  • Why Not? Just kiddin'. Ham does a nice, middle of the road job, we're competitive, mostly. Ham-Jones, is a take on Ham-Bone(s).

Because our offense has been terrible for years. Even when we had Toney and Al, it was ran terribly.

    Are you that blind?

Generally poor offensive performance, undisciplined with no across the board scoring depth.
Generally good defensive performance, but not good enough when the chip are down, and not consistent.
I've been watching FSU Basketball since 1970. Ham is a fairly decent coach, not the worst we've had, but certainly nowhere near the top either. I believe we could do better. That is if we want to truly become a top-tier basketball program.

We are not going to become a top tier basketball program. Any coach that gets us close to looking like that will leave for a basketball program.

  • Who was the last good true PG before Bookert?

Exactly, except for Ham. He's a decent man and does very well in helping his charges mature into men. BUT! Less than stellar patterns of performance are what the harvest of his tenure shows.

Does it matter? It's the coaches job to recruit one.

  • Who peed in your cornflakes this morning Mac?? FSU isn't going to do much better than Ham... We aren't a basketball school. We played 7 newcomers this year, Miller couldn't practice all year and wasn't close to what he could have been, and Shannon missed the majority of the season... Lots to overcome. We will see if you sing the same tune next year... My money says you don't.

  • Upvote for rossynole! We won the ACC last year for gosh sakes. Hamilton was the greatest thing since sliced bread then. He is a proven, consistent winner. Recruits well. We were very young this year. This team will mature and get better. We are fortunate to have him.

Just not a sunshine pumper like you. I see a problem for years and expect it to be fixed.

We don't have to fire Ham, but we could fire Stan Jones.
Even if we did fire Ham, I think Andy Enfield is no doubt a better coach (not sure about recruiter).

LOL at "not a basketball school". How come Florida can have both every year, but we can't? Low standards from people like you.

Miller sucks, he's overweight and jacks up 3's.
    Brandon can't dribble or shoot.
All 3 7 footers are soft as fvck.
Thomas, not sure what to think.

The only decent players we have are Snaer, White, and Bookert. 2 of those may be gone next year, 1 for certain.

How many games did you make it too?

  • I don't have low standards... And for the record, Florida isn't a "baskeball school" every year... They recently missed out on the tourney and followed up with a great run. I look for FSU to do the same... I will continue to appreciate what Ham has done for our program and continue to support him. Is it frustrating at times? Of course, but I also understand what he's done for FSU basketball.

Miller was overweight because he couldn't practice ALL YEAR
Brandon was playing out of position most of the year because Bookert suffered an injury during the summer. Brandon looked much better playin the 2/3 late in the year.
All 3 big men have a WAYS to go, but Ojo played in about 8 organized games before arriving to Tally. Boris needs to put on some weight which he will, and I think he can be great. Ojo was forced into action because if injuries.

Maybe you should actually watch and pay attention to FSU basketball before complaining about it.

LOL at Florida not being a basketball school. They've won 2 NC's, might be a #1 seed this year, and are consistently at least a Sweet 16 team under Billy D.

You sound like a Bobby Bowden apologist in his final years. He built it, there for he can do no wrong.

Does Miller only jack up 3's and play terrible D? Yes
Does Brandon struggle with ball handling? Yes
Do 7 footers have an excuse not to block shots and rebound? No

  • I didn't say Florida wasn't a bball school... Only other team who has a better winning percentage than FSU in the ACC tourney the last 4 years is Duke. Finishing 9-9 in te ACC used to be a huge win for this program... Now people are ticked. That's telling.

You want a bball program? Something needs to be done about he Tuck first

Also, how many game did you attend this year? Fan support would be a good start

Florida isn't a basketball school they have a good program in a terrible Conf. They had two great teams but they are not Duke, NC, Cuse, Etc. Kentucky will outclass them in 8 out 10 years as long as UK has a coach. I agree, if we really want to be a top tier Bball program them we need to invest in the program to get it there. We have a coach that gets good players, keeps them in line, and graduates them. He also wins games in what's probably now the 3rd best Conf in the country while having to deal with lopsided officiating whenever he plays against the top teams of the Conf.

Okay, after reading that assessment it's clear you have 0 knowledge of bball. Therefore I'm going to stop wasting my time with you

None, because I live in Miami. I went to just about every game while during my 4 years at FSU.

Oh, and the ACC is down big time this year. Miami won it LOLOLOL. Duke as zero star players. UNC has no lottery picks.
