Location. It's that simple. We don't NEED to spend a lot to sign top players. We should be thankful.
You have to do what they do at Clemson, Auburn, and Bama; spend your money directly on the kids instead of the middle men. Stretches your recruiting dollars much further.
Legio mihi nomen est, quia multi sumu [My name is Legion, for we are many.]
Would love to know Clemson's non-reported recruiting expenses
Wow.. Tennessee over $1.1 million and cant even beat Kentucky and celebrate beating Vandy like it was the SEC Title...
The moral of this story is: "The more money you spend, the crappier your class will be".
Or maybe not. Good chart though, shows it's all in HOW you spend yer rhino, and not how much you stump up. Gather information, assess it, and judiciously target expenditure where it will do the most good. Seems like Jimby and the Crickets get a lotta bang fer their bucks.
See, Corchie Coley survives on the 1/2 and half in his Cuban Coffee, Trick Daddy has trained his gastrointestinal tract to process rolled cigar leaves, Corches Elliot and Gran only want mineral water, Corches Egghead and Flexomatic and Haggis are only allowed ONE all-you-can-get-down-yer-neck buffet a day, and Corches Dawsey and DC pack their own baked-possum sammy's 'n a wad o pie. Everybody else is on their own, except Corch Fishing - who has a lovely lady who packs him a picanic baskit - inlcuding candy for his sweet-toof.
Whew. That made me hongry. Gotta go get tore in on some pork rinds - the hard cracklin' kind.
Ain't no cell phones under water!
FSU's "assets" are worth $500k per year. Experiencing those "assets"? Priceless!
FSU Football. Making cool the new swag since 2013.
Its a poor way to look at as most recruiting "costs" are travel related. Schools without a lot of local prospects will have to spend more. Its also not surprising that a school that has to recruit more kids from far away also won't do as well in recruiting rankings as those that are surrounded by local talent. Basicaly a meaningless stat.
