Nice hire. I'd imagine he can come in and start talking with recruits immediately since Pruitt won't be able to. Give a "I've worked with Pruitt in the Past, this is what we are gonna do and how we are going to use you" kind of thing.

Wasn't looking for down votes just stating facts. We had the worst defense in school HISTORY. Glad it worked out for you guys, my son likes the noles but he wasn't happy about this hire.

I am a double graduate of Tennessee and wont entertain a poster that's likely still extremely butt hurt but you're wrong. Period. The players quit on Dooley while trying to learn a new scheme. Tennessee no talent on defense. Only draftable players on the entire unit this year were McCullers and Johnson.

Hey Guys... I am a Bama grad and now currently work at FSU... just wanted to say congrats on the hire. Coach Sunseri is truly outstanding at what he does. Don't be concerned about the past year at UT. Knoxville was a dumpster fire. There was limited talent there, but no cohesion and discipline... and it is very difficult for that "process driven" approach to be established and thrive within a year. He will fit perfectly with the system at FSU.

Won't disagree with the quiting for sure, Sal never got them to buy in either though ,HE led the defense, offense was one of the best UT has had. Probably 5 will play on Sundays off of that D though but that still ain't real good.

He is one hell of a position coach and one hell of a recruiter. I wanted him back at Bama. As for what happened at Tennessee I am truly surprised I thought he'd do better but how much was on him and how much was on Dooley/players quitting, who knows? He recruits the Mid Atlantic and Mid-West really well.
