There's a reason I tweeted the other day that he will sign with Florida State, and why Josh has him at 90% confidence for being in our class. Numbers worked out in our favor, and he was able to fit into our class. You can thank Tracy Howard for Blake. He always wanted to come to FSU after his visit, and was ready to commit on the spot on his visit. We still had hopes of getting Tracy Howard, and needed to see where we stood with him. Tracy is now going to Miami/Florida, and now Blake -- who is VERY talented -- will be in the class, baring some last minute change of heart.

Agree that signs point towards yes, but do you know for sure of any sort of commitment from him today?

Haven't seen any, but my friend who works for the Texas Rivals site said that he's arguably the top defensive back in the entire state of Texas this year, and would be a big time get for Florida State.

Great report from your friend as well.
Really like his length at 6'2"-6'3".
Lots of talk of where he lines up at the next level, do you think he has the hips/agility to stay at CB, or are we looking at more of a hybrid type DB for Stoops scheme, who could play either?
Really hope he has the tools to stay at CB.

A little off subject, but I read today that Colin Blake is originally from England. He'd join Menelik Watson (England), Werner (Germany), and Daniel Glauser (Switzerland) as players of international origin on our roster. How many other teams can claim that?

I may be in the minority, but there are some things about THoward that concerned me. I'll be very happy if Colin Signs with us, and I truly think we will be loving this kid before too long!
