Sitz, Leibrandt and Compton

Any chance we go with that same rotation this weekend in order to avoid a Leibrandt/Appel matchup on Friday?

I would go with 0%. That would be a very, very foolish decision that I hope no one would every even think about considering.

I'd bet on Leibrandt/Compton for the first two. Not sure who they'd use for a game three. I doubt it would be Sitz, though. Maybe.

Sitz for four, five innings, absolutely not more and then bring on Gage Smith and Robert Benincasa for game one.

If we pitch sitz this weekend as a starter, that is basically like waving a white flag. He is not good. I'd rather lose giving weaver and miller a chance than to have a veteran who is not good. At least weaver and miller when on are pretty dominate. Sitz was good on Friday. But gave up way too many hits and just got lucky with all his Ks to get out of the jam

He might be our best option though. Miller has had arm issues and Weaver has really only been effective in relief.

Mississippi State pitching was third best in ERA. We took care of business, and I believe we keep it going. Stanford's pitching ERA only 000.4 better than the Noles. They are batting only 000.10 better than the Noles. We are at home with the temps predicted to be around 90 degrees all three days.
If we can get four scoreless innings out of Sitz ala Samford, we will be alright...

Kingpin, who would you suggest we throw?. I was hoping to see Peter Miller in Greensboro, but when he came in against Virginia, he gave up two hits and an earned run and didn't get anyone out. Arm trouble seems to persist.
Just curious as to who you would suggest start Friday, Scantling, Brandon Johnson, Weaver? Maybe give Smith a start and hope he can go three or four, but who then for middle relief?
No disrespect intendted, just curious who you would throw.

Seriously? Leibrandt is and should be the only option for Game 1.

They already confirmed it will be 1 Leibrandt, 2 Compton, 3 The kitchen sink Sitz, Weaver, Miller, Johnson, Gage, Benny. I totally agree with Leibrandt, Compton, Sitz in that order. I am glad we are not saving our #1 for game 3. They have to travel across the country to play us the national seed at our place. Stanford has not been very good on the road. Also if we lose in 2 that would suck that our guy that has been aces would not even get a chance.
Hopefully 11 does not put Busch out there unless we have a double digit lead.

Exactly, got to go with the best on Friday and Saturday, kitchen sink on Sunday if needed.
