Shooting in Auburn ****Updated

There is a rumor flying around twitter that 3 Auburn players, Ed Christian, Ladarius Phillips and Eric Mack were shot today, some players have tweeted that Ed Christian has passed away. If true, an extremely tragic story.
**** I can confirm now what is widely known. Former Auburn football players Ed Christian and Ladarious Phillips were killed last night in a shooting at University Park Apartments in Auburn. Current player Eric Mack was wounded but is in no danger.
The shooting apparently came after an argument and then a fight. The argument apparently did not involve any of the three victims, who were apparently killed when one of the men involved in the fight returned and began firing indiscriminately.
**** An Auburn Police Dept. press conference is set or 1 p.m., we are told.
**** A total of as many seven people were shot, according to a report by Charles Goldberg of the Birmingham News.. None of the others were football players.

I've only heard Ed Christian so far, he played at Lowndes so Greg Reid, Telvin Smith, and Tyler Hunter know him.

I just saw an unofficial, and I repeat, UNOFFICIAL report that Ladarius Phillips has also passed, but Eric Mack is still alive.

It was apparently a pool party at a student apartment complex where the #Auburn shootings happened. Reports of fatalities.

My friend goes to Auburn and he was just at the hospital with some friends on the team. I asked if it.was true and he hasn't responded so I'm going to assume 2 have passed away. Terribly sad story. Things like this put sports in perspective. Prayers for the families if true

Over a girl...And reports are that she was killed as well. Not only that, 2 recruits were shot. So the thinking is that one of the recruits hit on a girl that this thug liked so he used his "disrespect" card as justification to bring back a gun and start shooting people and killing her.
By the reports that I saw Ed Christian was holding back a teammate from a fight, he wasn't even involved.
