Our recruiting this year has simply not been on par with our last 2-3 recruiting classes, especially last year where we hauled in a bunch of recruits early. LONG WAY to go, and I know the coaches will pull a great class again, but it has been disappointing early. I believe the reasoning is simple, we have alot of depth from our last few classes and recruits aren't seeing the chance for immediate playing time like they are at UF/UM for example. The way to overcome that is to start winning National Championships again (which I fully believe we are knocking at the door of), and to get kids consistently drafted within the first 3 rounds of the draft. Once that happens, kids will willingly come in knowing they will be waiting 2 years to play. I am not trying to be negative, just seeing the facts. Look at Ryan Green. He can see that Freeman and Wilder (assuming legal issues are worked out), still have 3 years in front of them (2 years once he would get here). Also, Pender has 4 years (3 once he would enroll.) So, logically he would have to sit for 2 years before seeing meaningful time. Tough pill to swallow when we havent sent a rb into the draft since Booker/Washington?
Not trying to be negative, but the solution is simple: Win now!

I know that Green and Turman are still uncommited (and I'd be happy with either) but let's be honest: with Freeman & Pender ( Wilder) on the roster, FSU just isn't attractive to a RB prospect looking for early PT.
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or it may last a year. But eventually, it will subside. If i quit, however it will last forever.
There's also a chance ND isn't bowling at the end of the season so who knows

General comment: RB, DE, DT, WR & DB will be difficult positions to recruit because of depth. The staff need to carefully explain the depth at each position b/c at most positions it's not as bad as it seems. We already know that Miami has negatively recruited Bain by showing him our DT depth chart.
Let ND worry for the next 10 months about his commitment status. A recruits' and their parents' word means nothing. It's not over until the LOI arrives no matter what they claim.
