Yeah,

it's a great mystery why we are in our annual January ot scramble. Part of me ( a small part) hopes Pruitt isn't up to snuff because Trickett's ol's are not good enough to keep Jimbo employed as FSU's hc without good defenses to stop the other teams. It appears we will probably need to fire Jimbo to get rid of Trickett. That,or get a real ad.

We will not be a consistent national power as long as Trickett is here. Going into out now 7th ol class under Trickett we have our answer. Even if some of the fat is pulled out of the fire this year getting top flight ol recuits to come play for Trickett is too tough. If we recruited on the ol like we did the dl we would be Bama.

I know, all kids love the thought of playing for Trickett. That is why we went 0 for Florida last year and are largely whiffing yet against his year. I just wonder how long the Trickites are going to hold on to the one good ol class since Trickett has been here.

Think about it: We were the strongest team in Florida yet went 0 for Florida last year Just as I predicted in July 2011. I know I will be attacked. A common sense approach in July would have been to:

A. Laugh at the absurdity of the prediction
B. Assume I had a magic 8 ball that was en fuego.
C. Assume I actually knew someone(s) that had access to very good information.

After my admittedly bold prediction came to pass (going 0 for Florida regarding ol's) they proper response would have been to:

A. Submit questions to my magic 8 ball given its irrefutable accuracy.
B. Conclude that I know people who have access to great information regarding recruiting in Florida and when those same people say FSU is recruiting into headwind regarding ol recruits because of Coach Trickett and Every other school tells ol recruit's moms that Trickett will cuss and scream at their son for 4 years and it works like a charm. Most if not all posters would reevaluate their position regarding Trickett.

Instead I was attacked by the Trickites because they appear to think they are his Praetorian guard.

When I told you this year, months before any mod (Although a couple of them knew by the time I posted anything) that Tunsil would not come here because Tunsil's mom does not want her son to play for Trickett, I was attacked by Trickett's Praetorian guard yet again.

Getting Pruitt here helps but probably not enough to matter. We may finish 2nd for Tunsil, which will be lauded by the Trickites. I can't wait to see all the pancake blocks Tunsil will make for us when he is a UGA.

What I would like one of the Trickites to answer is how attacking me or others convinces high end ol commits to come here? Attacking the messenger does not change the information contained in or the accuracy of the message.

So, is this what the highest paid ol coach gets you? A coach that far too few high end ol's will come play for and the annual January ol scramble?

The only people that think this California juco guy will be any good are canolee and the kid's parents. So is it Tonga, ganguzza, snider ,sanderson Glauser-ah, so many choices of the Trickett "Diamonds in the rough" that just plain sucked.

Canolee, do me a favor: link to ANY of your old posts regarding any recruit we went after than you said sucked based upon you film evaluation.We have had plenty of ol's that have sucked since Trickett has been here so it shouldn't be tough. No offense, but reading your posts regarding the ol and ol prospects reminds me of Pangloss.

So why are those of us who do not worship at the alter of Trickett down on the guy being ol coach at FSU:

1. Results matter: His ol results taken in their totality have SUCKED since he has been at FSU.

2. His inability to convince enough big end ol commits to come means our ol will continue to to generally be in the suck to avg window.

3. Trickett is the highest paid ol coach in the country. That should translate into a Bama type ol. Instead, we get a Wake type ol. A very poor return on our investment.

4. Trickett's inability to produce good ol's in the single biggest factor from a personnel standpoint that is keeping us from being a national power. I would like FSU to be a consistent national power. I would like FSU to be a consistent national power more that I would like Trickett to stay as ol coach. The two do not appear to be compatible in year 7 of Trickett.

It's nothing personal. I like him on a personal level.
