  • Lol, yeah 'silents' are always a guarantee, esp a year ahead of time. Doesn't this sound familiar? Bottom line a lot can happen between now and next feb, bamma could have a down year, we could have an up year who knows. But he can't sign anywhere for a year so anything before that is all speculation.

  • Dawg Fan here...He's probably a lock to bama....as stated by another post, his coach played at bama and really pushes his players to bama....this kid has been groomed for bama for a while now...Oh everyone will get a shot at him, but to no avail...Of course anything is possible in recruiting....He will take his trips and some will feel good after some very good visits with him but he will sign with bama.....Hard to admit that...but....go dawgs and good luck to the noles....Love to follow your team and be of any assistance I can in upstarting the gators....

  • Also, I believe if you had signed one or two more recruits you might have overtook bama for the number 1 spot...but its bama and they get all the love...they do no wrong..wait a minute they do revoke offers at the last minute to certain young men, that don't fit their needs at the last minute...Well enough bama bashing, you guys had a great recruiting season and I wish you well next year in the ACC....go dawgs

    It's always good to get another perspective, before we start going after each other's throats for recruits.

    Anyone who hates the gators is OK in my book.

  • I think his top 5 schools are all SEC schools..As we all know that can change in a heartbeat, but he prob Bama bound. UF is in his top 5 but prob have little to no shot unless we get him in for a official.

    This is recruiting. No 2 circumstances are the same.

    My point is that people LOVE to jump to conclusions in the world of recruiting, when in reality none of us know how it's going to play out.

    Bama leads, but he is no more of a lock than James Wilder was to UF, or Winston was to Bama.

    The odds were stacked against us but we pulled it off.

    The odds are against us here I agree, but he's not a Lock.

    Just keep in mind Bama went hard after Gunner Kiel b/c of Winston's continous flirtations with bolting college for the minor leagues. In the Rober N case, Bama is going all out for this kid. Sure, there are similarities with the Jameis recruitment and I do agree with the poster no one should be considered a lock, but all signs point to this kid signing with Bama come NSD 2013.

  • Winning games is the best way to get in a player's top 5. Right now recruiting in the south is the SEC vs. FSU. If we get a shot at the SEC in the title then Saban's grip on top recruits will lessen. I have faith our staff can recruit but after the classes we had recently we need to smash some teams this year.

    Winston grew up an OU fan, and it was reported early on that his dad was a Nole. Most felt we had a good shot
