  • There's a lot of talk of Rhodes leaving after next year. I'm not so sure he does. Anyone (Bushido, staff, ect) know the guy? Has anyone broached the topic with him?? He doesn't seem to be the outgoing, talkative type (like Reid...)...I don't recall hearing him say much at all last year. Does he hold his cards close the vest??

    I wouldn't be surprised at all if he left, he definitely has the potential to be highly recognized on the national scale this year. But you're right, I haven't heard much about the kid either. Seems like a hard working guy who just shows up, goes to work and gets it done.

  • With Broyles and Stills I know OU won't be afraid to go after Rhodes. Are there any other teams that'll go after him? Patick Peterson made millions by shutting down AJ Green and Julio Jones.

  • Without mentioning names, there are people inside the program that expect him to go Pro early.

    That could be at the conclusion of this season, or next season.

    But Jimbo did say -- on record -- that he would rather be his Agent instead of his Coach last Summer.

  • He will definitely go pro early, but I think it will be after his rs. Jr. year. I think his situation is similar to Brown's. Brown had a great freshman year and was a household name with FSU fans, but but he was still a little unknown around the nation going into his sophomore year.

  • IMO Rhodes gets overhyped here. He has the size/speed/talent combo to be great but he is still a baby. People expect him to go out and be Patrick Peterson or Eric Berry this year...he isn't there yet IMO. I can't realistically see him leaving after his RS Soph year unless he goes out and just dominates this season.

  • I'm with kum and think he will leave after the '12 season. I just don't think he will run the legit 4.4 40(or sub 4.4) that will merrit a high first round selection. Therefore, I believe he will need the extra year of production and then I can see him going where Jimmy Smith went late in the first this year.

    I agree. He is not a Patrick Peterson type (freakish speed and man on man ability) at least that we know of because of our scheme. He could completely blow up this year and decide to go, but I think him being here in 2012 is more likely at this time
