2013 signee Desmond Hollin is focused on finishing strong at the junior college level in order to make the move to Florida State this summer.

This kid didn't get a ton of fanfare but I think he is going to be really important right away. His ability to make an impact this year may dictate our DE position.
Voght loves him. Great sign. Says he runs like a deer.
This kid is a major sleeper. Love the attitude.
He is going to push everyone of the DE's expect Hicks IMO and he is somewhat similar to Hicks. He appears longer than 6'4 on tape. Maybe it's his arm length.
Ive been a huge fan of this kid since i first saw his tape. His tape reminds me a lot of Werner with the way his pass rush is controlled and his gap discipline when stopping the run.
i wonder if they plan on standing him up?
would explain him wanting to drop weight
GO NOLES! / SCALP EM!
Need him to be READY to play THIS year
Fan1, the one thing he has that Tank had is the really long arms. He doesn't have 91's raw power, but he is no slouch in that department either. I watched his vids again and the one underrated quality is his vision. He can fight off an OL while keeping his eye on the prize and find the ball. I also expect a fair share of batted passes. And he is a South Florida kid, so the speed of the college game shouldn't be as big of an adjustment.
Panther, if he was here this Spring, I think Hollin would be the first DE off the bench. He still may end up in that role. Good athlete with length and a non stop motor.
I think Hollin comes in and is extremely similar to Casher but a little further along. Casher will still mostly experience growing pains this year IMO, he will catch stride in 2014 and then be absolutely ruthless in 2015.
fsu, I think Hollin has a better motor than Casher right now. And being a JC guy, I'm guessing he will play with more urgency.
As for Casher, he is rusty and has to be a little tentative coming off the knee injury. That being said, he was starting to eat up Pettis at the end of the game last month. And Eddie Goldman was inconsistent with his effort last year IMO. But after watching him in the Spring Game, he went hard every snap and is ready to play big boy football and contribute in a major way. I'm thinking Casher will catch on during the season, hopefully sooner rather than later. But my guess would be by late October, early Nov.
