Why do you jeopardize your future on stupid things like this? C'mon guys. Get with the program and get in the right frame of mind. You have the potential of making millions in the NFL and you decide to screw this up. Please don't let this be a Janoris Jenkins incident.

They should kick him off the team just to set an example. Seriously. There should be ZERO tolerance for repeated stupidity.

Meh.
Give him his 2 game suspension and move on.
Marijuana will be legal in 5-10 years any way.
Would be worse if he failed a drug test IMHO.

Don't forget how much the APR factors in on these decisions. You don't want to kick a guy off the team because it would hurt your APR score.
Coaches want/need student-athletes to graduate.
FSU football is not in danger when it comes to APR. And I'm not suggesting how coach Fisher handles Reid or any other player who is arrested.
I'm just saying that the APR is a huge influence in these matters.

Is that his 3 rd strike? He was suspended for team rules (aka weed) and this is his 2nd arrest even tho the 1st one was dropped. Man I sure hope he's not booted

Hopefully he is suspended one or two games, during the cupcake part of our season and gets to return to the team. This should get his attention. Missing out on any games your senior year has to suck. A pretty stupid thing to do but its nothing compared to what other schools are dealing with. I.E. Crowell.

The ticket wouldn't be listed with the charge since its a traffic infraction, not a criminal offense.

If the windows were tinted too dark...how'd the officer see that the seat belt wasn't fastened?

He is a huge talent on the field but has been a headache for the staff off the field and for more than has been reported the last year or two.

it wasn't a seatbelt, he was pulled over for the tint...it was misreported.

illegal tints are usually for side windows anyway, they can see in the windshield still

Not saying this happened, but just stating it as a possibility. What could have happened is the officer pulled him over for the tint, then Reid anticipating needing his license, un-buckled his seat to get his wallet, and the officer saw him with no seatbelt on when he approached. No matter the circumstance, any time an officer sees you without a seat belt on, it's cited as a seat belt violation. Maybe Nolenblue could shed some light on the accuracy of this, but it seems plausible. Or, as someone pointed out earlier, could just have been misreported.

I've heard this too. Shame really. After his Dad was released from prison, I remember him saying something about walking the straight and narrow together. It was fine stuff really. When his Pops attended the Bowl game and he had that great game making Spurrier gnash his teeth it was a proud moment. However, his sense of entitlement lurks just under the surface, and will out. I hope this is a good teaching moment for him, and he FINALLY gets the memo. We didn't need this right now. I also hope he accepts responsibility for his actions, and there isn't the usual "Da PoPo got it in fer me" crap.
