Recruiting Areas...

  • Not trying to turn this into a "south FL" recruiting thread, but with all the new coaches and the staff being complete, do we know, or have some sort of idea as to who is recruiting where?

    Jeremy Pruitt - I-10, Alabama, and Tennessee
    Odell Haggins - Daytona Beach, Polk County, D.C., Maryland, Northern Virginia
    Randy Sanders - Northern GA, Tennessee
    Jay Graham - North Carolina, South Carolina
    Lawrence Dawsey - Tampa and Jacksonville
    Charles Kelly - Georgia
    Rick Trickett - Orlando
    Sal Sunseri - Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Broward County?
    Tim Brewster - ???

  • Sunseri has been recruiting Ft. Lauderdale already.

    The rest of the area will be a combination of several coaches. I'll try to figure out exactly who will be where over the next few days.

  • I would like Odell to take over SoFL. Sunseri has recruited odells area so let him take that over.
    The reason that i say Odell isbecause he is more than likely going to be here for a long time, and his players and recruits love him. Recruits wouldnt have to worry about him leaving during their recruitment, which as we saw last year is a huge deal.

  • Brewster will probably recruit Texas and S. Florida.

  • Odell is a beast in the DMV, no point in taking him out of there. Not to mention he has no reason to go down to south. Never has recruited there, ever. Better off moving Dawsey down there. At least he has recruited PB County and made some appearance in Dade.

    Although I don't know for sure, I feel that Brewster will end up hitting South Florida hard.

    As I stated in another thread, I was told that he hit Central and Southern Florida hard while at Mississippi State.

    Fair point. The reason i thought of him instead of dawsey was because Sunseri is a beast in Odells area so we would still have that covered. Either one works for me.

  • FSU speaks for itself in South Florida. There are kids, like Matthew Thomas, who will go to FSU anyway. We don't need a specific coach to recruit South Florida. I don't think recruits care if their recruiter previously coached in the area.

  • i think brewster hit SoFla and a lot of behind the scenes introductions will be made by our back office "recruiter" who will be some sofla guy

  • Matthew Thomas was recruited for two years by Coley....Sorry but he was not going to FSU if Coley was not recruiting him for that length of time. It was his goal to land the kid and his work paid off.

    Couldn't have been all Coley. We know where he ended up, and we know where Thomas ended up. Recruiting is more than just one coach.

    Where would he have ended up? UM didn't even seem like a possibility and the only reason we got Thomas according to MT was because his mom didn't want him leaving the state. MT came across as a kid who wanted to leave home and was going to do so no matter what.

  • Sunseri did outstanding in the Carolina's and Virginia in his time at Bama him and Odell should just tag team the Northeast and take who they want!!!
