Jimbo's Opening Statement:

Had a good week so far, proud of how the team played in the game versus Duke.

Had a great practice this weekend and they are ready to fix the mistakes made in the past.

A lot of work on special teams and defense was done this week.

Tough task ahead of the (with Virginia Tech), but Jimbo is looking forward to the challenge.

One reason to jump on a team early on the road is that it puts pressure on the team.

"You can't win the game in the first 5 minutes, but you can set a tone."

Jimbo just got off a rant about technology again.

He stated that you have understand how the world is changing. "The world is becoming less personal and more critical."

The problem has even entered the recruiting world. "Its all different now a days. Its all texting and emailing, you text someone and try to call them the next minute and they won't answer."

Its becoming a challenge for coaches that are older and more experienced with kids now a days that are just used to not meeting with people face to face and relying on technology to communicate with people.

Jimbo believes that Mark Stoops is ready to be a head coach. We're not thinking of anyone leaving until the end of the season.

Fisher says he isn't talking to anybody about other jobs.

Shooting down unfounded Auburn rumors.

Said he doesn't get concerned about the BCS, doesn't worry about how the players react.

Also admits that he doesn't understand the computers and how they factor in the formula.

Fisher says Manuel is playing 'super football' right now.

Fisher says that Virginia Tech's offense starts with Logan Thomas - 'he is big, strong, athletic, and can run'.

Jimbo says its a big thing to have this new indoor facility to be approved and soon to be built.

On VA Tech:

They move the ball well, they just didn't score the points.

Numbers are good, defense is good and we need to be sound on the field.

EJ only officially visited Florida State, even though he was heavily recruited by other schools. His father was a "stickler" and wanted to keep the trust between him and his early commited school, FSU.
