Certainly might be.
But folks COMPLETELY laughed at any team leaving the ACC until 2 months ago.
You REALLY think an ACC team is going too say 'no' to Big 10 money? The money difference is HUGE and the academic benefit is as well (as opposed to the ACC).
The ACC is a dead conference sadly.....FSU fans just don't see it yet (at least the ACC mafia on warchant).

I think you see some combo of UVA/VT/Ga Tech and UNC/Duke/or NC State to the Big 10 and SEC.
I agree, that leaves FSU in the BIg 12. The question/hope is.....who does that leave for teams to come to the Big 12 and how many will the Big 12 let come?
I will be disappointed to see any less than 3 other ex ACC teams come with FSU to the Big 12. I am HOPING for as many of Va Tech, NC State, Ga Tec, Miami, and Clemson (depending who is left after the Big 10 and SEC take theirs) to come with FSU.
I fear the Big 12 will leave 1-2 valuable properties (to FSU at least...for regional partners sake) like a Clemson or NC State.
But if the Big 12 had an east coast division of something like:
FSU
West Virginia
Clemson
Miami
VT
Louisville
?
?As many east coast teams as possible that carry a market and more than 20K fans in a football stadium would be HUGE.
But again, this is the problem with the Big 12 for FSU.....their business model makes them NOT want to go to 16...and FSU needs that so it isn't isolated in the SE. Miami alone or Clemson alone won't change that for FSU....even 3 others might not be enough. I think a BIG move of a whole east coast division is needed. THAT would work....but the Big 12 doesn't want it.

1. SEC is the best place for us. 2. If the PAC 12 came calling I can guarantee you they can find a way out of that GOR contract. Texas and CO. have the money to do what it takes to get out. Big 12 is worst case scenario for FSU.

Obviously the Big 12 with that scenario. But I don't think FSU should rush over there. They need to try their hardest to get into the SEC 1st and then the B1G. If that is not possible and defections from the ACC occur, than the B12 is the only option. That is the only scenario where it makes sense. Being preemptive and moving because we are in fear of other teams leaving would be a bad decision.

Very much agree.
I just suspect that the ACC falls apart even while FSU patiently waits. Basically, the schools that pushed BBall first and supported a FAILED commish and his horrible TV contract, will, ironically, be the ones to jump to wealthier conferences IMHO.
FSU will watch it play out and hope for options....I don't think it will have many other than a gutted ACC or a Big 12 with HOPEFULLY east coast partners (3-5).
I hope I am wrong.....the segment of our fan base that have great faith in Swofford....or just nuts IMHO.

I'm not the biggest ACC fan, but the B12 would be a mistake.. That shit was about to blow up two years ago... I'm all for the B1G or SEC but hell no to the B12. Our luck we go over there and then the pac 12 comes calling for OU, TX, OK ST, and TT. Then we are worse off than when we were in the ACC.
